Maniac Monday

Hey all! Its been a few weeks since I've posted & I'm sorry for the lack of updates lately. Even though Summer is supposed to be for resting & relaxing, life always seems to pick up speed for me instead than any other season with gatherings, projects, church, family & what not. I'm not sure why but I'm having a hard time finding the right balance for myself lately; I've tried about 3 or 4 different schedules to keep myself on track & I think I'm finally starting to find what works for me & I'm working on getting caught up with everything with out losing my mind. :-)  So I thought a share just a few pics of my summer days...

I can't really take credit for this picture because hubby actually took this one but I thought it was beautiful. We had a freak storm a few weekends ago that ripped through a few states before it got to VA with over 80mph winds & it tore our flag up in the front yard, right before the fourth of July. So hubby put a new one up & snapped this pic of 'ol glory in the front yard. :-)

My mom had some gorgeous hydrangea blooms in her yard & I snatched one up to enjoy in our house for a few weeks. I never get tired of fresh flowers in the house.

 Hubby & I went to a wedding a few weekends ago & here's a pic we took at the reception. The ceremony was beautiful & it was outside so we were glad to be back in the air conditioning...and near the bar :-) All of my pictures taken outside were pretty much blinded by the sun but the bride & groom were SO happy.

And lastly, this isn't my picture but I had to share it, one of the crochet/knit groups I'm follow on facebook posted it a few days ago. Its in the Urban Outfitters' Creative Headquarters decked out with crochet art on the wall. I wish this could be in my studio! Check out those giant balls of yarn by the couch, love it!
